Art For Autism

At Summer’s Art Studio & Gallery, we believe every artist deserves a space where they can create, learn, and feel comfortable being themselves.

Our instructors who lead these classes have completed autism-specific certification and training, helping us provide a more informed, understanding, and supportive environment for our students.

Our autism-friendly art classes provide a structured, encouraging, and creative space where students can explore art at their own pace. We take time to get to know each artist—their interests, strengths, communication style, comfort level, and areas where they may benefit from additional support.

Classes incorporate creative expression, fine-motor development, confidence building, following directions, decision-making, and social interaction through engaging art projects. Activities and instruction can be adapted to meet the individual needs and abilities of the students in each group.

The first few classes also allow our instructors to learn more about each student so we can better personalize their experience as they continue with us.
