Creative Spectrum: Teen Art Studio

Service Description

Our 6-Week Autism Art Program for ages 12–17 is a supportive, creative space designed to help teens explore art at their own pace while building confidence, independence, and artistic skills. Rather than requiring every student to create the exact same project, our program provides structure with creative choice. Students will explore drawing, painting, mixed media, color, pattern, and personal expression while having opportunities to choose subjects and materials that connect with their individual interests. Throughout the six weeks, instructors will get to know each artist’s strengths, preferences, sensory needs, communication style, and areas where they may benefit from additional support. Projects can be adapted so that students of different experience and ability levels can participate comfortably and successfully. The program concludes with a student art showcase in our gallery, giving artists the opportunity to display work they are proud of and celebrate everything they have accomplished. No previous art experience is necessary. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where every student can create their way, develop their strengths, and find their artistic voice.
