Autism-Inclusive Art Class | Ages 8–12

Service Description

A welcoming, creative art class designed to give children with autism a comfortable space to explore art, build confidence, and express themselves at their own pace. Throughout this 6-week program, students will explore drawing, painting, patterns, mixed media, texture, color, and imaginative projects. Activities are choice-based and adaptable, allowing each student to participate in a way that works best for them while still learning alongside the group. The first few classes also give our instructors an opportunity to get to know each student—their interests, preferred materials, communication style, strengths, sensory preferences, and areas where they may benefit from additional support. As the course progresses, instructors can use what they learn to provide more individualized guidance. Our classroom uses a predictable routine, visual instructions, flexible seating, optional breaks, and no-pressure sharing to help create a positive and supportive environment. All instructors are "Autism Certified".
