Take your painting skills to the next level by learning the timeless techniques of oil painting in this six-week course designed for beginners and aspiring artists. During this hands-on class, you'll discover how to confidently work with oil paints while learning color mixing, blending, layering, glazing, composition, lighting, and texture. Rather than rushing through multiple small projects, this course focuses on creating two finished paintings, allowing you to slow down and truly develop your technique. You'll spend three weeks on each painting, learning how to build an artwork from the initial sketch to the final details using traditional oil painting methods. This approach gives you the time to understand the process, refine your skills, and create artwork you'll be proud to display. Each class is 2 hours long, giving you plenty of time to paint, ask questions, and receive personalized instruction in a relaxed and encouraging studio environment.
