6-Week Course April 21nd - May 26th meeting weekly at 3:30 PM for 1.5 hours May 29th - Gallery night with masterpiece Step into a layered, expressive journey where art meets storytelling. Mixed Media Masterpiece is a 6-week immersive course designed to guide you through the creation of one large-scale, gallery-ready artwork using a combination of spray paint, acrylic, collage, texture, embellishments, and embroidery. This is more than just a class—it’s a creative experience. Each week builds upon the last, allowing you to slowly develop your concept, refine your skills, and bring your vision to life with intention and depth. What You’ll Experience: • Discover and develop a meaningful subject unique to you • Learn how to build rich, layered backgrounds using spray and collage • Paint a strong focal subject with depth and contrast • Incorporate dimensional elements like fabric, found objects, and texture • Explore embroidery techniques to add detail and storytelling through thread • Complete a one-of-a-kind mixed media artwork Course Structure This is a progressive 6-week course, meaning each session builds directly on the previous one. ✨ Week 1: Concept development + sketching ✨ Week 2: Spray, base layers + texture ✨ Week 3–4: Painting + embellishments ✨ Week 5: Embroidery integration ✨ Week 6: Finalizing + Gallery Night Full course enrollment is required. No drop-ins or partial registrations. Supplies Students are required to bring: • One 18x24 canvas prior to the first class You are also encouraged to bring your own materials to personalize your piece, such as: • Magazines, collage papers, or book pages • Fabric, lace, or ribbon • Personal or meaningful objects • Small embellishments or textures If you don’t have materials, a curated selection of mixed media supplies will be available for purchase at the studio gift shop. Final Gallery Night The final class concludes with a private in-studio gallery showcase, where friends and family are invited to view the completed works. Students will have the option to: • Display their artwork • Offer their piece for sale • Accept commission inquiries This is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate your work and step into your identity as an artist.
